BKM Impact in Colombia – July 3

Bogota Kids Mission

It’s been a while, so let’s catch up!

HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD (CUP) IN HIS HANDS

We posted all 48 flags in our windows to celebrate the World Cup with those in the neighborhood.

We are currently on our midyear break as the second semester came to an end. And it’s World Cup 2026 in the soccer world. Because it is such a big deal here, we wanted our kids to be mindful that God is in the midst of all that goes on in the world. So, for the final day of class, we painted flags of the 48 nations involved in the Cup and applied scripture verses to the event through word and picture puzzles.

GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES

One of our teachers, Mechas, who works with the youngest of our children shared her enthusiasm of how God is at work in the lives of the children, “(We) hear from parents that their children share with them the memory verse of the week and pray at home.  The children are evangelizing their families!”

THE WORD GETS OUT

Timmy* has been a handful for us – four years old, never sitting still, cutting his hair as he learned to use scissors, refusing to color well and all the while having a unique ability to disappear when we look the other way…But he’s a charmer and has captured our hearts.

Recently his mother came to the door with a huge smile on her face saying, “Thank you for what you do for my son. Today he was congratulated at school because he does his homework well and does a good job with both tracing and coloring. The teacher mentioned that Timmy told her that he was doing well because he goes to a foundation (The Bridge) where the teachers are very kind. She wanted to know if that was true. When I told her yes, that it was close to our home she said, “What a wonderful place for your son to go, a wonderful place for him to improve.””

And here’s your World Cup 2026 Spanish challenge: Which scriptures did we choose?
